Council Life

Fraternal Meetings
First Wednesdays at 6:30 pm

Fraternal meetings are an opportunity for fellowship over food and drink in a relaxed, mostly unstructured setting. In the summer months, these meetings are held in backyards, sometimes with the grill fired up or a crackling bonfire. In the winter months, they’re held indoors at St. Charles. All brother knights are invited! Attending a fraternal meeting is an excellent way for new brother knights to get involved.

Pancake Breakfasts
One Sunday a month after both Masses

Pancake breakfasts usually happen toward the end of the month between September and April. They are our council’s primary fundraisers, with proceeds going to support a variety of worthy causes. In the past, we’ve supported disaster relief efforts, the prolife movement, persecuted Christians in the Middle East, local nonprofits, and seminarians from our parish, among others. All brother knights are invited to help set up, cook, serve, greet, and clean up for the breakfasts, which are great opportunities for fraternity as well.

Business Meetings
Fourth Wednesdays at 7:00 pm

At business meetings, we do the grunt work that keeps our council going and plan for the future. Officers are expected to participate, and all brother knights are invited as well. Here the old saying holds true: decisions are made by those who show up!

Family Events
December and June

Our annual Christmas Dinners and Summer Cookouts are opportunities for brother knights and their families to come together for food, fun, and fellowship.

Parish Consecrations
August, December, and May

Every year, our brother knights lead their families and the parish in three consecrations: to the Blessed Mother, to the Holy Family, and to Saint Joseph. All are invited to join the 33-day preparations, with formal consecrations at Masses on the Feast of the Assumption, the Feast of the Holy Family, and the Sunday nearest the Feast of Saint Joseph the Worker, respectively.
